Following a pivotal victory at the Lusail Grand Prix, the Red Bull driver has significantly reduced the margin in the title race. "We have triumphed where maybe it seemed unlikely, through the optimal strategy as a unit," Verstappen added. "The partnership with my race engineer and the whole team... we are perfectly synchronized."

Ahead of the arrive in Abu Dhabi, the championship picture is perfectly defined.

• Lando Norris will claim his maiden world title if he finishes ahead of both Verstappen and Piastri or takes a place on the rostrum.
