Iranian Forces State Assault on US Base in Bahrain, As Part of Regional Military Operations.

Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a significant and ongoing attack against it by the US and Israel.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone near the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any destruction is uncertain and the US has yet to issue a statement.

Missile Defenses Activated

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

Iran's Declared Retaliation

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on Iran carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas linked to the the regime, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israeli military said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses responded to the projectiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a series of missiles," the statement continued.

Officials reported missile fragments fell on a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
